I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and always very clean, and they had a good list of Azorean and Portuguese wines available – why buy any other? My room was even ready early when I arrived from my flight, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel features an entrance hall, a large room with a balcony, and a bathroom. The service was top-notch, with friendly, helpful staff who were fluent in English. They provided excellent recommendations, and the food was so good – the best polvo I ever had! However, at times, the service seemed a bit surly and was sometimes difficult to find when requesting something. The location was breathtaking, situated on the southernmost edge of the island in the beautiful Barra Bay, right by the sea. It was quiet and beautiful, with striking views of the coastline. The dining experience was wonderful, with a typical Azorean breakfast that, while fairly average, was still better than others I've had in the Azores. The hotel should consider improving the coffee quality and offering more vegetable options. On the downside, some of the dishes were not to my liking. The hotel facilities were great, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, the hotel provides a great value for the money with its perfectly appointed rooms and beautiful views.
